Automobile dealers elect new leaders

John T. Jones of Jones Chevrolet Company Inc., in Sumter has been elected president of the South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association for 2009-10.

Jones was elected to serve beginning July 1 at the association’s annual dealer meeting. Headquartered in Columbia, SCADA is the state association for franchised new car and truck dealers.

Also elected, Graham Eubank, Palmetto Ford Inc., Charleston, first vice president; Sam Burns, Burns Chevrolet Dodge Jeep, Gaffney, treasurer, and Keith Hudson, Jim Hudson Buick Pontiac GMC Saab, Columbia, regional vice president representing the Capitol District.

Board members elected from the Capitol District are Sam Jones, Hampton Automotive Inc., Columbia; George Gibbes, Ford of Orangeburg, Orangeburg; J.T. Gandolfo, Dodgeland of Columbia, Columbia; Bruce Shealy, Shealy’s Truck Center, Columbia; Mike Addy, Mike Addy Chrysler Jeep, Lexington; Bruce Dyer, Dick Dyer Toyota, Columbia; Pete Olmstead, Jim Hudson Lexus, Columbia; Bob Richards Jr., Bob Richards Toyota, North Augusta; Richard Pendarvis Chevrolet Co. Inc. Edgefield, and David Herndon, Herndon Chevrolet Inc., Lexington, immediate past president.
