Mr. Nathaniel Robinson

Funeral services for Mr. Nathaniel Robinson, 67, of 910 Symphony St., Orangeburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with Bishop David Young officiating. The casket will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Robinson, son of the late Athell and Perline Robinson was born Jan. 4, 1942. He entered into eternal rest June 16, 2009.

He was educated in Orangeburg and Calhoun County Public Schools. He graduated from Carver High School in Cordova.

At an early age, he joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Cope. He was employed as a phone operator with Southern Bell in New York and a spreader with Ambler's Inc.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Nathaniel Robinson of New York, NY; three sisters, Mary H. Cokley of St. Matthews; Gloria Johnson of Columbia; and Bevelyn Davis of Orangeburg; one brother, Nathan Robinson of Orangeburg; one brother-in-law, Rev. John W. Cokley of St. Matthews; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Robinson and Minster Lillian Young, both of Orangeburg and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Friends may call at Simmons Funeral Home of Orangeburg. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.. Online condolences may be sent to www.simmonsfuneralhome.com
