Orangeburg's Stevenson Auditorium will pulse with the sounds of local award-winning country musician David Cooler and "acoustic acrobat" Chris Jones at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12.

Cooler, a Bamberg native, will perform songs from his latest CD, "Country To The Bone," and other self-penned tunes. Cooler said this show will be unlike any other that he has produced.

"There will be videos going at the same time on the big screen so people can see my songs," he said. "I will also get to tell my personal story. We will also have dancers performing, and they have worked very hard preparing for this show. I think people will have fun and be impressed."

Jones, also of Bamberg, will appear as Cooler's opening act. Cooler says Jones is "an awesome performer."

Cooler was recently named the 2008 Country Male Artist of the Year by the Carolina Music Association and performs throughout Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida.

General admission tickets are $15 each. For more information or tickets, call Virginia Stewart at 803-707-1820 or Amy Garrick at 803-536-1402.
