SANTEE - Authorities are looking for a Elloree man in connection with the shooting of two men at a nightclub early Sunday.

Jason C. Shivers, 29, of 1057 West Harlin Street in Elloree, is facing two separate warrants for assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

The two men who were shot are in stable condition, Orangeburg County Sheriff Larry Williams said. “It wasn’t life threatening.”

A Eutawville man was shot in the upper right arm and in the right leg. He is recovering from his injuries at a Columbia hospital.

The other victim was shot in the lower right leg and is still recuperating at a Orangeburg hospital.

Williams believes the incident began when Shivers and several others left a family gathering to go to Stacey Gilmore’s Club, located on Issac Gilmore Circle in Santee. A dispute arose over a woman who accompanied Shivers to the nightclub, which escalated to the shots being fired, Williams said.

The victims were not able to identify their assailant or give any description of him, according to an Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office incident report. According to the report, several individuals interviewed by authorities said they heard Shivers was the shooter but there were no eyewitnesses.

Williams said there are no leads as to Shivers’ whereabouts, but he is being sought.

A sheriff’s deputy found several shell casings in the parking lot of the nightclub. Two vehicles in the parking lot were struck by a single bullet each.
