Bennettsville man heads cotton group

COLUMBIA -- Frank B. Rogers III of Bennettsville was elected the 17th president of Southern Cotton Growers Inc. at its recent annual meeting in Savannah, Ga.

A cotton, grain and peanut farmer, Rogers farms in partnership with his eldest son, Patrick. He succeeds Chuck Lee of Pembroke, Ga., who will now move on to serve as chairman of the board.

Southern Cotton Growers Inc. represents every cotton producer in the six states that comprise the Southeast region: Alabama, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.
